Responsibilities

• To have overall responsibility for managing service users admitted into the service.

• To determine staffing, financial, material and other short-and long-term requirements to meet service needs.

• To ensure regular risk and needs assessment review of all service users.

• Manage the Senior & Support Workers/Assistants within the Residential and supported accommodation services.

• To ensure provision of high-quality care support to service users in line with the service specifications/placement plan and requirements of individual resident/tenant/service user.

• To collaborate with healthcare agencies and emergency services to ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of residents/service users.

• To participate in recruitment and employment proceedings.

• To recommend and oversee staff training and re-training.

• Take a lead in safeguarding of vulnerable persons.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.

• A recognized social work qualification or a professional qualification relevant to working with Mental health patients at level 4 or NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care will be considered.

• Knowledge and understanding of general and UK MentalRegulations: The Mental Health Acts (1983) 2007, Mental Capacity Act/DOLs and other related legislations, policies and procedures.

• Experience of care home accommodation services.

• Experience of working within an assessment and support planning framework.

• Experience in Staff Management - Use of appropriate leadership styles to resolve conflict, solve problems, elicit performance and motivate, support and direct staff.

• Effective ability to use computer system.
