Residential Home Manager

Responsibilities
To have overall responsibility for managing service users admitted into the service.
To determine staffing, financial, material and other short-and long-term requirements to meet service needs.
To ensure regular risk and needs assessment review of all service users.
Manage the Senior & Support Workers/Assistants within the Residential and supported accommodation services.
To ensure provision of high-quality care support to service users in line with the service specifications/placement plan and requirements of individual resident/tenant/service user.
To collaborate with healthcare agencies and emergency services to ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of residents/service users.
To participate in recruitment and employment proceedings.
To recommend and oversee staff training and re-training.
Take a lead in safeguarding of vulnerable persons.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
A recognized social work qualification or a professional qualification relevant to working with Mental health patients at level 4 or NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care will be considered.
Knowledge and understanding of general and UK MentalRegulations: The Mental Health Acts (1983) 2007, Mental Capacity Act/DOLs and other related legislations, policies and procedures.
Experience of care home accommodation services.
Experience of working within an assessment and support planning framework.
Experience in Staff Management - Use of appropriate leadership styles to resolve conflict, solve problems, elicit performance and motivate, support and direct staff.
Effective ability to use computer system.
